Basic Needs Center Presentations and Workshops

Interested in having a Basic Needs team member come to your space to present on our services, run a workshop, or even guest present for your class and space?

Weekly Programs

Do you have any questions about CalFresh? Interested in learning if you may be eligible for monthly grocery benefits? Book an appointment with a CalFresh Navigator to find out more information and apply. We can help gather documents, discuss student exemptions, walk you through the application and help with any post application questions!

The Basic Needs Center offers a range of physical supplies to support students in meeting their basic needs, as access to hygiene products should not be a barrier to personal and family care. Personal care items include shower supplies, laundry detergent, deodorant, dental supplies, and snacks. These items are available at our front desk supply tables. How can you access these items? Take the steps below:

  1. Head over to the Basic Needs Center during office hours
  2. Fill out the front desk welcome form that is in the iPad stand next to our front door
  3. Grab the items that you need!

Please note that we do ask students to only take up to one of each item in a visit, however, once you run out of need more you are welcome to visit again to restock. Availability of personal care supplies or the exact products offered is subject to change. If we don’t have any items you need, please submit a Care & Support Request Form so we can do our best to support in meeting this need, whether that be through internal resources or community resource referrals.
