This community meal-sharing program helps elevate student food security by providing free meals at City Eats Dining Hall to SF State students facing barriers accessing enough food.
- The Emergency Meal Card Program is a partnership with Sodexo, who donates 2000 meals to FSS every semester so that we can provide these meal cards.
- Meal cards are reserved for students who currently do not have access to food. This program is not intended to be a supplement for a meal card or students who need to find ways to cut the cost of purchasing food. This is for emergency situations.
-
Students can receive one card per semester. If a student needs additional cards, they will need to meet with an FSS Staff member via the Request Form to discuss longer-term solutions for food security. This may or may not include a second card.
-
Meal cards hold 10 meals and can only be used at City Eats on campus.
